A note from the founder
Who is behind Hey Dawn, and why it exists.
I’m Jimmy, the founder of Hey Dawn.
Hey Dawn started with a friend who runs their business alone. Good work, steady clients, and invoices scattered through their inbox with no way to see what needed paying. Bills were going missing, not through carelessness, but because their inbox had quietly become the accounting system, and inboxes are built for reading, not for owing.
That is the premise here. For a business with no finance team, the inbox already receives every bill: the PDF invoice, the reminder in plain words, the failed direct debit. Nothing reads it for you. Dawn, the agent this company is named for, is designed to do that reading: find what needs paying, put the details in one place, and help you deal with each one in a couple of taps.
Dawn touches money, so the rules came before the features. Nothing gets paid unless you tap to pay or you have already said it can. Anyone new, changed bank details and unusual amounts always come back to you. If Dawn pauses a payment, only you can release it. And you can always see what happened and why.
Where it is up to: early access is open, and it is a short list — businesses we let in a few at a time, as Dawn is ready for them. That is deliberate. I would rather work closely with a handful of owners than open the doors and hope. If that sounds like yours, get early access on the homepage.
If you have a question, or your inbox has its own version of this story, write to me at hello@heydawn.ai. I read and answer these myself.
