Hey Dawn

Hey Dawn vs ANNA Money

ANNA turns an invoice you send it into a payment to confirm. The difference is who notices the bill in the first place, and whether you have to change bank accounts.

By Jimmy, founder of Hey Dawn · 4 min read · Updated

ANNA Money is a business account with bookkeeping and tax built around it, and it already turns an invoice you send it into a payment to confirm. The difference is who notices the bill: ANNA works from what you forward to receipts@anna.money. Dawn is designed to read the mailbox itself, on the account you already have.

What ANNA Money does well

  • It already does the extraction. Send it an invoice and, in its own words, ANNA will “create a new payment and ask for your confirmation to send the money from your account”.
  • It does what Dawn does not: bookkeeping, tax calculation and filing, with AI doing most of the work.
  • It is licensed and live in Australia as well as the UK, so this is not a UK-only product you cannot buy here.

Which one you want

Choose ANNA Money if…

If you want one product that is your business account and does your bookkeeping and tax, and you are willing to move your banking to get it, that is ANNA’s job and Dawn does not do it.

Hey Dawn is for…

Common questions

Does ANNA Money find bills in my inbox?

It works from documents you send it: you can email them to receipts@anna.money or upload them. Someone still has to notice the bill, open it and forward it, which is the step Dawn is designed to remove.

Do I have to switch bank accounts to use Hey Dawn?

No. Dawn is non-custodial and designed to work on the accounts and the inbox your business already has. There is no new account to open and no new address to give the people who bill you.

Is Hey Dawn an alternative to ANNA Money?

Only for part of it. ANNA is a business account that also does bookkeeping and tax filing; Dawn does none of those and is for the bills arriving in your inbox. If tax and books are the problem, ANNA is the better answer.

Is ANNA Money available in Australia?

Yes. ANNA launched in Australia in 2025 with local rails and licensing, alongside its established UK business.
